The hostel is located near the largest Liberec ski centre – Ještěd. The sports centre has several cross-country ski tracks and ski slopes – all within just 800 metres from the hostel.

If you like to spend your time actively, hostel pod Ještědem is a good choice. In the winter season, in addition to downhill skiing, are the popular cross-country ski tracks. In the spring season, there are numerous cycle routes and tourist trails available.

Liberec has many all year round attractions for the young and older people who like to spend time their time being active. Within easy reach of the hostel are: The entertainment park, Aquapark Babylon, Zoo, beautiful botanical gardens, toboggan run and the cable car to the top of Ještěd.

In the surroundings are the pearls of Czech cultural and nature heritage – the highest peaks of the Krkonoše, the sandstone towns of Český ráj and Czech-Saxon Switzerland, the charming Lusatian Mountains with its unique folk architecture, the picturesque Macha lake, and the famous castles of Bezděz, Trosky, Frýdlant and Sychrov.

Liberec is located 110 km from the capital city of the Czech Republic, Prague. Travel by bus takes just one hour. The plentiful bus routes make it easy to organise trips to Prague.
